Role Purpose

Design and optimize digital and 3D garment patterns that deliver excellent fit, quality, and manufacturability. The Pattern Maker transforms design concepts into production-ready patterns, working with designers, technical teams, and the sample room to ensure accuracy, consistency, and market alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grade digital patterns in line with brand fit standards.
• Use 3D software and Gerber to assemble, validate, and optimize patterns.
• Define and manage size guides, grading rules, and core blocks.
• Maintain a digital fabric & trims library with technical attributes.
• Ensure patterns are production-ready (seam allowances, notches, annotations).
• Support marker optimization and cutting efficiency.
• Document and archive all pattern iterations with version control.
• Stay updated on digital pattern-making innovations and AI

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of garment construction, grading, and sewing techniques.
• Expertise in CLO3D, Gerber, or Optitex.
• Understanding of fabric behavior (stretch, drape, thickness) and impact on fit.
• Experience with costume-specific design, safety, and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of size systems, production processes, and QC basics.
• Familiarity with tech packs, BOMs, and digital file integration.
