Apparel & Graphic Design
SUNSCOPE is seeking an Associate Technical Designer to support our Design team across apparel development, technical design, and graphic execution. Reporting to the Apparel Designer & Design Department Lead, this role is responsible for creating production-ready tech packs, Illustrator-based apparel flats, and Photoshop-supported artwork, managing fit and construction revisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and international vendors.
The ideal candidate is detail-driven, visually precise, and highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and apparel graphics.
Responsibilities
- Create accurate, production-ready technical flats, graphics, and artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Build and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including P.O.M. charts, grading, construction details, materials, and graphic/embellishment callouts
- Collaborate with design, production, and vendors to develop styles from concept through production
- Review and approve development and pre-production samples for fit, fabric, color, GSM, and print quality
- Maintain organized technical documentation and design libraries
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 2–3 years experience in apparel technical design or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (apparel flats, vectors, tech packs) and Adobe Photoshop (graphics, color, mockups)
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, measurements, and development processes
- Experience working across multiple apparel categories
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and international vendors
- Experience with CLO 3D a plus
- Working knowledge of InDesign
Portfolio Requirements
- Portfolio demonstrating apparel flats and technical drawings
- Examples of tech packs showing construction, measurements, and graphic callouts
- Samples of Illustrator vector work and Photoshop-based graphics or mockups
- Apparel-focused work that reflects accuracy, clarity, and production readiness
