Job Summary/ Responsibilities

About the Role:

IntellectFaces, Inc. is seeking a creative and analytical UX/CX Designer to design engaging, intuitive, and accessible digital experiences for our client in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human-centered design, usability principles, and customer journey mapping, with proven experience improving digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process — from discovery and user research to prototyping and usability testing.

  • Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.

  • Conduct UX research to identify pain points and opportunities for experience improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and business analysts to align UX/CX strategies with business goals.

  • Develop and maintain design systems and ensure brand consistency across digital touchpoints.

  • Use analytics, feedback, and behavioral data to drive design decisions and enhance user satisfaction.

  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design standards (WCAG 2.1).

  • Present design solutions and findings to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into iterative improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in UX, UI, or CX design roles.

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or Axure.

  • Experience with user research, persona development, journey mapping, and usability testing.

  • Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design principles.

  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for design collaboration.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design rationale clearly.

  • Prior experience working with state or local government agencies (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in UX/CX or Design Thinking (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, IDEO, or similar).

  • Experience designing for accessibility (Section 508 compliance).

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and design sprints.
