Application Engineer

Position Overview:

Our future team member plays a key role in the efficiency of the sales process by providing fast and accurate support, thereby contributing to the satisfaction of account managers and clients. They ensure that the delivered solutions meet the client’s operational needs and technical specifications precisely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quote Preparation:
  • Generate accurate and complete client quotes, including detailed product specifications, accurate pricing, and commercial information, in coordination with sales, product, and technical teams.
  • Solution Development:
  • Interpret specifications and select equipment to meet client requirements. Collaborate closely with account managers, product managers, and technical teams to develop customized solutions that address the client’s specific challenges and goals. This involves translating operational needs into a coherent and effective equipment system.
  • Cost Estimation:
  • Build cost sheets to determine sales pricing for each opportunity. Develop tools and processes that enable the most accurate cost assessments possible, based on past projects and input from engineering and procurement teams.
  • Technical Proposals:
  • Create and assist in the creation of detailed technical proposals that demonstrate how the proposed solutions meet client needs, including technical specifications, integration plans, and any required customization.
  • Visualization Tools:
  • Use CAD software or other design tools to create visual representations and simulations of customized solutions, helping clients understand how the proposed equipment integrates into their operations.
  • Sales Order Processing:
  • In collaboration with the account manager, efficiently process sales orders, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete. This includes fully transferring order details to the project management team.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
  • Alongside account managers, regularly update the CRM system with customer interactions, sales activities, and relevant client information to allow the sales team to track progress and follow-ups.
  • Request Follow-Up:
  • Act as a point of contact for client inquiries on behalf of the account manager, providing timely and accurate responses to questions regarding products, services, quotes, and order statuses.
  • Internal Communication:
  • Serve as a bridge between the sales team and other departments such as finance, logistics, engineering, and production, ensuring smooth sales operations and timely customer responses.
  • Sales Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing sales reports and analyses by tracking sales metrics and identifying trends that may impact the business.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 06+ Years Experience in sales or customer service in a technical environment
  • Proficiency with relevant industry software (e.g., CAD, SolidWorks, simulation tools)
  • Strong technical background, ideally with knowledge of industrial equipment and applications
  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical information
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams
