Job Description

  • Job Objective: The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing techno- commercial support to the sales team through accurate pump selection, application analysis, and technical solutioning for domestic projects. The role ensures correct product recommendations, cost-effective solutions, and smooth coordination between sales, design, production, and customers.
  • Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Pump Selection – Analyze customer enquiries, tender documents, and application requirements (flow, head, medium, duty conditions).

– Perform pump selection and sizing for dewatering, industrial, and process pump applications.

– Support sales team with technical clarifications, BOQs, and datasheets.

Pre-Sales Engineering – Prepare technical submissions, GA drawings coordination, QAP support, and compliance statements.

– Assist in techno-commercial discussions with customers and consultants when required.

– Coordinate with internal teams for feasibility and special application requirements.

Order Engineering & Coordination – Handover confirmed technical details to production and planning teams after order receipt.

– Resolve technical queries during manufacturing, testing, and dispatch stages.

– Support FAT, inspection, and documentation requirements.

Customer & Internal Coordination – Act as a technical interface between customers, sales, design, and manufacturing teams.

– Address post-order technical clarifications and application-related issues.

– Maintain proper technical records and application data.

  • Sales MIS & Documentation
  • Maintain application-wise enquiry and order tracking MIS.
  • Ensure timely availability of technical documents for sales and execution.
  • Update ERP/CRM systems with technical data as per company processes.4. Educational Qualification
  • Educational Qualification
  • B. Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
  • Experience & Compensation
  • 2–3 years of experience as an Application Engineer / Technical Sales / Design Support role.
  • Experience in pump industry / dewatering pumps / industrial pumps is strongly preferred.
  • CTC: ₹45,000 – ₹50,000 per month (as per experience & skills).
  • Candidates who are immediate joiners or on short notice will be preferred.

  • Strong understanding of pump fundamentals, hydraulics, and mechanical concepts.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Good communication skills for internal and customer coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP systems.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to technical accuracy.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Accuracy of pump selection and technical submissions.
  • Turnaround time for enquiry-to-technical response.
  • Reduction in technical revisions and post-order issues.
  • Quality and timeliness of technical documentation.
