Application Engineer in Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements and develop solutions for a turnkey machine vision system for manufacturing applications
• Evaluate and select lighting and optics to create the imaging front end
• Work on data collection of the samples provided by the customers
• Prepare the feasibility report
• Integrate a turnkey machine vision system with robot and automation equipment and make adjustments, troubleshoot, and debug systems.
• Travel and work in a factory environment to install and support a machine vision system to make sure all machines are qualified and ready for production according to schedule.
• Provide supervision to other team members at machine builder sites and contract manufacturer (CM) production sites.
• Help to prepare Standard Operating Procedures for machine vision setup, train other team members, and provide support during overall machine setup and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and analyze the issues that happened on site, and provide failure analysis (FA) reports.
• Communicate with both internal and external customers to establish a good working relationship.
• Provide daily status and progress reports and attend update meetings.
