Application Engineer - Signal Processing & Communications

Overview

As an Application Engineer you will be working with innovative companies in the aerospace/defense, oil/gas, communications, automation and machinery industries. You will contribute to the marketing and sales of MathWorks' products by assisting in the development of software models and simulations to demonstrate the use of MATLAB and Simulink, developing technical demonstrations for sales activities, engaging with prospective and existing customers to understand their workflows, and developing application examples and simulations to address customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Technical engagement with customers to understand their project requirements and workflows and then recommend MathWorks technical capabilities.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrate application examples (onsite visits, seminars, etc.).
• Work with sales and marketing teams to create strategies for different accounts and markets.
• Execute in-depth technical engagements with customers evaluating MathWorks products.
• Provide technical support for customers using MATLAB, Simulink and the entire suite of products.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Communications) and 5 years of professional work experience is required
• 3 years of experience with MATLAB and Simulink in Signal Processing, RF, Radar, or Wireless Communications applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English

Special requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in model-based design using MATLAB and Simulink tools, including modeling, simulating and analyzing design, testing and deployment workflows for control design and automation applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and robotics.
• Demonstrated expertise supporting customers with engineering data analysis workflows using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Demonstrated expertise developing and delivering technical product demonstrations to customers and assessing product marketing strategy.
