Application Programmer (App Sustainment) – Senior

Role Description

Serves as Sustainment Lead or Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provides expert-level knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations. Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency. Provides technical direction to programmers. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.

PREFERRED / HIGHLY DESIRED Requirements

○ Experience with ServiceNow application development and workflow automation

○ Experience with SAP EBS custom code development (ABAP, UI5, Fiori)

○ Experience with DLA or DoD sustainment environments

○ Experience supporting G-Invoicing or Treasury intragovernmental transactions

○ Experience with defect management and resolution in production environments

○ Familiarity with O2C, P2P, and IPAC business processes

Technical Skills & Domain Knowledge

▪ Sustainment lifecycle management (development, maintenance, operations)

▪ Low-Code/No-Code platforms and BPMN tooling

▪ API development and integration

▪ Large-scale DBMS application programming

▪ Agile and hybrid application development

▪ Functional areas: finance, accounting, logistics, procurement

▪ Software design documentation (block diagrams, logic flowcharts)

Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3)
