Role Purpose
Drive color expertise in food applications—develop, evaluate, and apply color solutions that meet customer needs. Lead projects from concept through scale-up, using sensory and analytical tools to deliver reliable, commercially ready results.
Key Responsibilities

Color Development:
Create and optimize natural color solutions for customer products; generate data, reports, and recommendations.

Food Applications:
Apply color across multiple food and beverage categories; design experiments, analyze stability and performance, document findings.

Customer Support:
Troubleshoot color challenges directly with customers, manage timelines and constraints, and build strong technical partnerships.

New Product Development:
Move projects from bench to commercialization; collaborate with production, procurement, and finance to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure formulations meet regional/global regulatory requirements, including allergen, organic, and GMO considerations.

Project Management:
Lead or support R&D initiatives with clear documentation and transfer to manufacturing.

Training & Technical Communication:
Provide data, tools, and presentations for marketing, sales, and customers.

Quality & Safety:
Maintain lab standards, protocols, and safety practices; support continuous improvement.

Academic Collaboration:
Build relationships with universities and external experts to support innovation and talent pipelines.

Additional:
Prepare samples and required documentation.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science or related field

Hands-on experience with color in food systems

Customer-facing technical experience
(must-have)

R&D background with experimental design and data interpretation

Strong written and verbal communication

Highly collaborative; comfortable working cross-functionally

Proficient with lab practices, documentation, and data systems
