Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in production or application support.
You will be responsible for monitoring systems, resolving incidents, and ensuring high availability of business-critical applications in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 / Level 2 application support in a 24×7 environment
- Monitor applications, services, and system alerts
- Investigate and resolve incidents within SLA timelines
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues
- Work with databases to troubleshoot data-related problems
- Escalate complex issues to development or higher support teams
- Maintain clear documentation of incidents and resolutions
- Support deployments, patches, and maintenance activities
- Ensure proper shift handover and communication
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in:
- Application Support / Production Support / Technical Support
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows and/or Linux environments
- SQL (querying, debugging, data validation)
- Web-based or enterprise applications
- Experience with:
- Ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Freshdesk)
- Log analysis and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of:
- SLA management
- Incident lifecycle and escalation processes
- Willingness to work rotational shifts (24×7)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Nice to Have (Plus Points):
- Experience in healthcare systems / LIS / laboratory systems
- Familiarity with HL7 / ASTM integrations
- Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, Splunk)
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Understanding of ITIL practices
