POSITION SUMMARY
Northern Water is seeking an Application Support Specialist. This individual will be responsible for the administration, support, optimization and integration of Northern Water’s business applications portfolio. This role serves as a key liaison between business units, IT, and vendors to ensure applications are secure, reliable and aligned with organizational needs. The position supports enterprise platforms, including Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Power Platform) and Dynamics 365, as well as off-the-shelf applications such as NetDocuments (OpenText) eDocs, Kofax and Accruent Maintenance Connection. The role also contributes to application lifecycle management, process automation, integrations and continuous improvement initiatives.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Information Technology Department supports Northern Water’s technical and information resources. The IT Department supports all technology-driven aspects of the Geographical Information System (GIS), cybersecurity and client support services, including help desk calls, and audio/visual support for internal and external meetings. The department oversees the data center and network infrastructure, including design, maintenance, security and support of Northern Water’s network. In addition, the IT Department is responsible for software development, application support, and management of all electronic information.

Education
Experience
o Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint Online, Power Platform)
o CRM systems (Dynamics 365 or similar)
o Document management systems
o SaaS application administration
LICENSE, CERTIFICATE AND CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
o Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals / Associate
o Microsoft 365 Certified (SharePoint, Teams, or Administrator tracks)
o ITIL Foundation or similar service management certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge
o Enterprise application support and SaaS delivery models
o IT service management (incident, problem, and change management)
o Systems integration (APIs, web services, connectors)
o Relational databases (SQL Server fundamentals)
o Application lifecycle management and release processes
o Principles of Windows Servers and Workstations.
o Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
o Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Power Pages)
o Enterprise applications – Dynamics 365 CRM, Infor, Maintenance Connection, OpenText, Kofax, and LMS365.
o Cloud platforms (Azure fundamentals)
