Summary
Provides technical support for all product lines to external and internal customers by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop necessary project scoping documents or collaborate with the customer to retrieve project scope documents to help drive internal development efforts.
· Work closely with industrial/graphic designers during User Interface development, and evolution, to ensure proper system content and performance matches end application requirements.
· Perform system level testing to ensure customer expectations are being met per project development plan. This may require operation of vehicles. (Boat, RV, Motorcycle, Snowmobile, ATV, etc)
· Assists engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, determining methods, procedures and conditions for testing products.
· Provides technical support to sales/marketing staff for the promotion and sale of existing and new products. The applications engineer is generally considered an expert user of Medallion products, and has excellent skills interacting with the company’s user interfaces.
· Regular travel to customer locations to assist in product installation and training.
· Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation and maintenance of Medallion products.
· Provides technical training for internal and external customers as needed.
· Directs and assists activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
· Directs and assists with the operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of company product and/or systems in field installations.
· Develop and utilize simulation tools as required for system performance testing. Simulation tools include; engine simulation, vehicle load control simulation, A/D input simulation, etc.
· Other relevant duties as assigned

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a college or university or a minimum of two years of experience directly related to the tasks performed; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Recreational / Powersport vehicle (Boat, RV, ATV, Motorcycle, Snowmobile) experience is preferred. Boat operation experience preferred. Knowledge in RV, Class 6-8 trucking and Agricultural industries preferred. J1939 based CAN network interrogation toolset experience is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
