The Applications Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical expertise, enabling customer success through demos, training, troubleshooting, and thought leadership across North America.
This role directly impacts both customer experience and product adoption, while driving innovation in color science applications. The position will be remote.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Supporting the sales team with demos and trials on challenging applications.
Serving as the technical champion for new product launches and the existing suite of products and solutions.
Performing advanced troubleshooting for customers across key verticals.
Delivering direct training (onsite or remote), and leading the development of training and support tools leveraging new technologies.
Collaborating closely with Engineering to influence product research and development with specialized expertise.
Representing X-Rite at trade shows, industry conferences, and training seminars to enhance the company’s technical presence.
Traveling approximately 70% of the time across North America.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $90,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
