Join our dynamic team as an Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist/Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Collect and analyze behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care skills.
- Support teaching of communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and session logs in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers by providing training, guidance, and support to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home.
- Ensure a safe environment by managing behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavioral interventions in various settings.
- Excellent data collection skills to track client progress accurately.
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care protocols.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and confidentiality.
- Effective teaching abilities combined with patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience documenting in medical records or care plans related to behavioral health.
