Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sales Engineer with a strong technical background and proven experience in the HVAC industry, specifically in the sale of air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, and airside solutions. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise to understand client needs, recommend suitable solutions, and manage the sales process from start to finish. This role requires an ability to build relationships, work closely with technical and commercial teams, and meet sales targets to drive company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets for air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, and airside products.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory and with potential clients, including contractors, consultants, and end-users.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing support and responding to their evolving needs.
Technical Consultation:
- Understand customer requirements and present solutions that best meet their technical needs.
- Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations, proposals, and quotations, collaborating with engineering teams to provide accurate and timely information.
- Address and resolve customer technical queries, and act as a bridge between the customer and internal technical teams.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new sales opportunities and areas for growth.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to tailor sales approaches to specific market needs.
Project Coordination and Management:
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, and service teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation through project close and after-sales support.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering within the HVAC industry, specifically with chillers and airside products.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, with specific knowledge of air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, as well as airside equipment.
- Proficient in technical proposal writing and presentation.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to meeting sales goals.
