Apprentice Electrician - Commercial (2+ Years)

About Us

Williams Electric & HVAC is a fast-growing commercial electrical contractor serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. We specialize in commercial and light industrial projects including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, tenant finish-outs, and ground-up construction.

All of our work is local to the DFW area — no out-of-town travel required. We maintain a strong pipeline of commercial work across the metroplex with projects typically ranging from $200K to $2M+.

We are looking for experienced Commercial Electrical Apprentices who already have field experience and want to continue growing their commercial electrical career with a company focused on quality, professionalism, and advancement.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Journeyman Electricians and Foremen with commercial electrical installations
• Install conduit, wire, boxes, lighting, and electrical equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Perform layout and assist with jobsite coordination
• Install and bend EMT conduit and assist with larger raceway systems
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow NEC requirements and company installation standards
• Work on commercial projects including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, tenant finish-outs, and ground-up construction
• Work efficiently to help maintain project schedules and production goals

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience required
• Registered Texas Electrical Apprentice preferred
• Basic understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation methods
• Ability to read construction drawings and follow direction from field leadership
• Experience bending and installing EMT conduit preferred
• Familiarity with commercial construction environments and jobsite expectations
• Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently while continuing to develop skills
• Reliable transportation to jobsites throughout DFW

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ground-up commercial construction
• OSHA 10 certification
• Experience operating lifts and jobsite equipment
• Experience in warehouse, industrial, or large commercial projects preferred
