Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker

The Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker will assist in sheet metal fabrication activities and learn practical skills related to cutting, bending, forming and assembly of sheet metal components used in HVAC systems, ducting, PUF panels, doors and related products. This role is intended for candidates who are eager to learn manufacturing processes and develop hands-on skills under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:1. Sheet Metal Fabrication Support

• Assist in cutting, bending and forming of GI / PPGI / MS sheets as per instructions.
• Support operations on machines such as shearing machine, press brake, bending machine, notching and drilling machines.
• Help in assembly of ducting, panels, frames and fabricated components.

2. Learning & Skill Development

• Learn to read basic fabrication drawings and job cards.
• Understand measurements, marking and material identification.
• Learn proper use of tools, gauges and measuring instruments.
• Develop skills in handling hand tools and power tools safely.

3. Quality & Accuracy

• Follow supervisor instructions to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Assist in checking finished components for defects or damages.
• Learn basic quality requirements for HVAC ducting and fabricated items.

4. Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all safety instructions and wear PPE at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the work area.
• Handle materials and tools carefully to avoid damage or injury.

5. Team Support & Discipline

• Work closely with senior fabricators and technicians.
• Follow factory rules, discipline and work timings.
• Show willingness to take up assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Educational Qualification:

• ITI (Sheet Metal / Fitter / Fabrication) preferred
• SSC / HSC with interest in mechanical or fabrication work may also be considered

Experience:

• Fresher / Trainee
• Prior workshop exposure or apprenticeship experience will be an added advantage

Skills & Aptitude:

• Interest in learning sheet metal and fabrication work
• Basic understanding of measurements and tools
• Physically fit for shop-floor work
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
