About the Role

Data Ikseer is hiring one hands-on, multi-skilled candidate who can build end-to-end automations and reporting solutions. This role blends AppSheet app development, Google Apps Script engineering, Excel VBA automation, and Power BI dashboarding—with added value from Make/Zapier-style integrations and AI-based workflow implementation.

You’ll work directly with operations and business stakeholders to design systems that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and deliver actionable insights.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)1) AppSheet + Google Workspace Automation

• Build and maintain AppSheet apps (forms, workflows, UX views, security roles, validations).
• Develop Google Apps Script solutions across Google Workspace: Sheets, Docs, Forms, Drive, Gmail, Calendar.
• Create custom menus, sidebars, triggers, approvals, and document generation workflows.
• Build lightweight internal tools and Apps Script web apps (HTMLService).

2) Spreadsheet Automation + VBA

• Develop and maintain Excel VBA macros for reporting, consolidation, formatting, automation, and PDF exports.
• Design scalable spreadsheet models in Google Sheets + Excel using advanced formulas, structured data validation, and clean layouts.
• Align Excel/VBA and Apps Script workflows where needed.

3) Integrations + Modern Automation Tools

• Integrate external systems using REST APIs (JSON) with authentication (OAuth2 where needed).
• Build reliable automation pipelines using tools like Make (Integromat), Zapier, or similar platforms when suitable.
• Implement logging, error handling, retries, and performance optimization.

4) Power BI + Data Analyst Mindset

• Build Power BI dashboards with clean models and insights-focused visuals.
• Create measures in DAX, apply proper relationships, and optimize performance.
• Translate business problems into KPIs, trends, and actionable reporting.

5) AI-Assisted Implementation (Practical)

• Use AI tools/LLM concepts to improve workflows such as:
• smart classification/tagging, summarization, extraction
• content generation with approvals
• validation and anomaly detection support
• Ensure privacy, accuracy, and auditability in AI-driven workflows.

Must-Have Requirements

• AppSheet + Apps Script: experience building real workflows (apps + automations).
• VBA: strong Excel automation skills with maintainable code and proper error handling.
• Power BI: dashboards + DAX basics to intermediate, modeling mindset.
• Strong spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets + Excel): lookups, arrays, regex, date/time logic, dynamic ranges.
• API integration basics: REST/JSON, pagination, rate limits, retries.
• Strong communication and ownership: can scope, build, test, deploy, document, and support solutions.
• Software Engineer mindset: clean structure, reusable components, debugging discipline.

Nice-to-Have

• Google Cloud basics (Cloud Functions/Run, BigQuery, Scheduler)
• Git/clasp, CI basics, linting/testing practices
• Make/Zapier expertise
• UI/UX sensitivity (AppSheet UX + Apps Script HTML UI)

Workplace & Schedule

• Onsite: Saddar, Karachi
• Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch), 5-6 days/week
• Probation: 3-6 months
