About the Role
The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential. Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Compensation: Competitive and negotiable based on experience
What You’ll Do
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Day-to-day accounting responsibilities for A/P and A/P - Processing customer billings - Managing vendor invoices - Assist with account reconciliations - Initiating accounts payable payments - Producing periodic reports and statements - ability to identify, analyze and resolve accounting issues by utilizing critical thinking to determine root cause and determine corrective action.
Accounts Payable
- Charge expenses to the proper GL accounts by analyzing invoices and backup documents
- Reconcile incoming invoices against purchase orders for accuracy
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with vendor invoices and purchase orders
- Pay vendors in a timely manner by monitoring due dates to avoid late charges and penalties
- Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid are accurate
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly accounting reports
Accounts Receivable
- Assist staff accountant with processing invoices to customers
- Ensure the timely delivery of invoices to customers within the parameters of Ai Policy and the requirements of the individual customer
- Resolving discrepancies with customers in cases of non-payment
- Maintaining and organizing records of invoices, bills, and deposits
- Preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Associate’s degree in accounting
- 4 years + Experience of general ledger accounting
- Computerized, commercial accounting software experience
- Intermediate Excel skills
