AR Cash Application Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR Cash Application Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately applying incoming payments to customer accounts, ensuring the integrity of accounts receivable records, and supporting the overall revenue cycle management process. Responsibilities

• Process and apply incoming payments from various sources using accounting software
• Reconcile accounts receivable transactions daily, ensuring all payments are correctly posted and discrepancies are promptly resolved
• Perform account analysis and review unallocated payments to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Collaborate with collections teams and customers to resolve payment discrepancies through negotiation and effective communication
• Maintain detailed records of all payment application activities
• Support the revenue cycle management process by verifying payment accuracy against invoices and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable and prepare reports for management review

Qualifications

• Proficiently in accounting software, with a concentration in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette for customer service interactions
• Basic understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, accounts payable/receivable, and revenue recognition
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies quickly
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking, problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills
