Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality Arabic dishes using fresh ingredients, following authentic recipes and presentation standards.
- Execute a wide range of Arabic cuisine including hot and cold mezze, grills, rice dishes, stews, breads, and regional specialties.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and rotisseries with proper temperature control.
- Handle ingredient preparation including marination, spice blending, butchery, portioning, and cooking.
- Manage the Arabic kitchen section efficiently, ensuring proper mise en place, stocking, and storage.
- Monitor food quality and freshness through proper stock rotation and waste control.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation during busy service periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times.
- Assist with menu development by suggesting new Arabic dishes and seasonal specialties.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Support overall kitchen operations by assisting with prep work and other cooking tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Arabic Chef, Chef de Partie, or Demi Chef de Partie in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-volume Arabic restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Arabic cuisine, traditional cooking methods, spices, and regional variations.
- Excellent knife skills and experience handling meats, seafood, and fresh produce.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Passion for Arabic cuisine with creativity and attention to detail in presentation.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Good understanding of food safety, HACCP standards, and kitchen hygiene practices.
