What You’ll Do

Review and refine Arabic copy for advertising campaigns, marketing materials, and other communications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand voice and messaging.

Ensure all Arabic content has an instant, positive impact on the consumer, effectively promoting the product or brand being advertised.

Edit and enhance Arabic straplines, slogans, body copy, jingles, and scripts to align with strategic objectives and creative vision.

Verify the linguistic and cultural appropriateness of Arabic content for the target audience.

Work in close partnership with Art Directors, Copywriters, and other creative team members to ensure seamless integration of edited Arabic copy with visual elements.

Contribute to the overall creative process by providing editorial insights and ensuring the highest quality of Arabic content.

Ensure edited content meets the highest standards, involving and communicating with the necessary creative team.

Modify and refine initial content into workable concepts until the client is satisfied.

Align the Arabic copy with art direction and vice versa, ensuring linguistic and visual harmony.
Responsibilities
-
Liaise with clients and interpret their briefs to understand editorial requirements.

Review and edit Arabic content for accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.

Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and terminology across all Arabic communications.

Proofread Arabic copy meticulously to check spelling and grammar, and ensure error-free delivery.

Familiarize themselves with clients’ products and services, the target audience, and their competitors’ activities to inform editorial decisions.

Update digital media with snappy, timely, and impeccably edited Arabic content.

Amend, revise, or redevelop Arabic adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director, account team, or clients.

Oversee campaigns through the production stage to completion, ensuring editorial quality.

Work on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines.

Deliver edited work to brief on time and on budget, to the highest quality.

Oversee the production phase, ensuring editorial integrity in materials booked with designers, illustrators, printers, photographers, and production companies.

Build key relationships with Account Management, Planning & Traffic departments.

Meet regularly with relevant departments to discuss the client's requirements and core messages, providing editorial input.

Contribute to good financial management of the business, improving profitability and maximizing revenue, wherever possible, by ensuring high-quality, efficient editorial processes.

Monitor all billing procedures carried out, alerting management to any likely changes in billing or income and any potential write-offs etc., related to editorial work.
What You’ll Need

A foundation degree or degree in Arabic Language, Literature, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

An established portfolio of recent Arabic editorial work (e.g., edited articles, marketing copy, scripts, etc.).

Exceptional command of the Arabic language, including grammar, syntax, punctuation, and style.

Skilled in writing clear, concise, persuasive, and grammatically correct Arabic copy, with a strong eye for detail and an ability to refine existing content.

Highly creative and imaginative, with the ability to enhance and refine original ideas from a brief.

Knowledge of the advertising industry and a deep understanding of the creative process in advertisement.

Excellent computer skills in relevant word processing and editing software packages.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to present editorial insights and recommendations effectively.

Ability to work under pressure, manage workloads effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

Self-motivated, well-organized, and a team player.

A keen interest in cultural/social trends and consumer views in the MENA region.
