Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Arabic Pastry Chef specializing in Kunafa and Baklava to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in preparing authentic Middle Eastern desserts, maintaining traditional flavors while ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce a wide variety of Arabic pastries, with strong specialization in Kunafa, Baklava, and related desserts.
- Ensure authenticity of recipes, taste, texture, and presentation in line with brand standards.
- Handle dough preparation, syrup preparation, nut fillings, baking, and finishing techniques.
- Maintain consistency in portion size, quality, and appearance of all products.
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor ingredient quality and report any shortages or issues to the Head Chef.
- Assist in developing new dessert items while respecting traditional techniques.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section at all times.
