Arc Welding Fabricator — Fixtures, Fit‑Up & Assemblies

Role snapshot

Join us to fuse pre‑cut and fabricated components into standardized and custom weldments. You’ll work with liberal fit‑ups or fixture‑controlled tolerances and bring projects from sketch to signed‑off quality.

What you’ll do

  • Operate electric‑arc processes to complete repetitive runs and unique jobs (MIG/TIG).
  • Follow samples, blueprints, sketches, and written instructions to build accurately.
  • Assist in laying out and building weld fixtures for current and future projects.
  • Inspect to documented procedures; adhere to the quality system; work is subject to secondary approval.
  • Set machine parameters and fine‑tune for material and conditions (heats, wire, electrodes) to meet output and quality goals.
  • Support fellow welders at the direction of Leads/Supervision.
  • Help troubleshoot equipment and process issues as needed.
  • Promote safety and maintain a safe, orderly environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Meet routed rates or other assigned productivity requirements.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and document daily tasks.
  • Keep the work area clean; reset after each job and at shift end.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed

  • High school diploma/GED, or 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination determined by the Shop Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Strong math aptitude and clear communication.
  • Proficient in reading drawings and production documentation.
  • Fluent with a tape measure.
  • Bring your own welding helmet.

Physical and environmental expectations

  • Frequent standing/walking/sitting; manual handling of tools and components.
  • Occasional bend, twist, and reach; lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Hearing and verbal communication required; vision needs include close/color vision, depth perception, and focus shifts.
  • Occasional proximity to moving equipment; exposure to fumes/airborne particles; moderate typical noise.
  • Able to use a welder’s shield and respirator when needed.
