Architech Grade A_ Project Manager and Site supervision

Job DescriptionPosition: Architect – Grade A (Project Management & Site Supervision)Location: Doha, Qatar

Reports to: Project Office Manager / Managing DirectorRole PurposeThe Architect (Grade A) will be responsible for leading and managing the design development of fast-track projects done by others, implementation, and supervision of project execution on site in compliance with Qatar local regulations and international best practices. The role includes full coordination with stakeholders, management of project documentation, construction supervision, and ensuring quality execution according to approved design and contractual requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical

• Lead the review and validate drawings, technical reports, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Ensure compliance with QCS 2014, MME regulations, NFPA, and Qatar Building Permit standards.

Project Management

• Supervise and manage project execution plans, schedules, risk assessments, and deliverable milestones.
• Supervise and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, Structural, QS, HSE, Cost Control) to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor budget, time, and quality KPIs to ensure adherence to contract conditions.

Site Supervision

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
• Issue site observations, NCRs, technical queries, and follow-up actions to ensure corrective measures are undertaken.
• Collaborate closely with the contractor to solve technical challenges and the owner's representative requirements.

Authorities & Approvals

• Monitoring submission process to authorities (MME, Civil Defense, QCDD, Fire Department) for design and construction approvals.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and technical presentations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, correspondence letters, and technical assessments.
• Ensure full documentation control and revision tracking of all deliverables.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Grade A license (Architect) from the Ministry of Municipality – Qatar (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience. Management experience in Qatar is being positively considered.
• Proven experience in project management & construction supervision within High-end Residential, commercial, hospitality, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong understanding of local regulations, construction processes, tender procedures, and contract management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite. Use of Primavera, Microsoft Planner, etc
• Excellent communication, leadership skills, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Competencies

• PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage. Positively considered
• Experience working with Fast-track projects based on Design & Build contractors' contracts is highly regarded.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
