Role Overview:

The Architect cum Projects Coordinator will serve as a critical link between design, engineering, and project execution teams for façade works. The role involves overseeing architectural detailing, coordinating design development, managing project documentation, and ensuring smooth execution of aluminium and glass façade systems in compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Architectural & Design Coordination

• Review architectural drawings, IFC documents, and façade design intent.
• Develop façade design details, shop drawings, and material specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and clients for design approvals.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.)

2. Project Coordination

• Act as the interface between design, engineering, procurement, and site teams.
• Track project progress against schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate material submissions, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Monitor RFIs, technical queries, and consultant responses.

3. Shop Drawings & Technical Submissions

• Lead preparation and review of shop drawings for aluminium and glazing systems.
• Ensure alignment with structural, MEP, and architectural interfaces.
• Coordinate mock-ups and sample approvals.

4. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers and system providers (e.g., aluminium systems, glass processors).
• Assist in technical evaluation of materials and vendor proposals.
• Follow up on material approvals and delivery schedules.

5. Site & Execution Support

• Provide technical guidance to site teams during installation.
• Coordinate site inspections and resolve design-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to approved drawings and QA/QC requirements.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and correspondence.
• Prepare progress reports, coordination logs, and tracking registers.
• Support project management in contractual and commercial documentation where required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in façade / aluminium / glazing industry.
• Strong experience in high-rise and commercial façade projects in the UAE/Middle East.
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Revit / BIM (preferred)
• MS Project / Primavera (advantage)

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of façade systems (Curtain Wall, Unitized, Stick Systems, Cladding).
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Sound understanding of project lifecycle and construction methodologies.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience working with leading façade system suppliers (e.g., Schüco, Technal, Reynaers, etc.)
• Familiarity with UAE authority approval processes
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
