Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking
Architectural BIM Coordinator
to lead the implementation and management of BIM Projects within our architectural design team. You will play a pivotal role in integrating digital design workflows, managing BIM delivery across projects, and ensuring model quality, coordination, and consistency in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the project is aligned with ISO 19650 standards, DAR’s internal BIM policies, and the Client’s.

Develop, maintain, and enforce the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Model Division Strategy, and project-specific protocols, ensuring full compliance with the Employer's Information Requirements (EIR).

Establish, document, and oversee adherence to model naming conventions, coding systems, and classification standards across the design team and stakeholders.

Set up and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) for efficient collaboration and structured information exchange.

Coordinate closely with BIM managers from other disciplines (Structure, MEP, etc.) to ensure consistency, integration, and quality of the federated model.

Oversee the full model coordination process, including clash detection, issue tracking, resolution workflows, and the generation of accurate coordination reports.

Validate and authorize all BIM-related deliverables and reports before submission, including quality control and information model outputs.

Conduct and lead BIM kick-off and coordination meetings, QA/QC sessions, and project milestone reviews.

Perform regular audits to ensure models meet LOD, LOI, and ISO-based standards, taking corrective action where gaps are identified.

Collaborate with IT and management to align BIM strategies with the company’s digital goals and infrastructure.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

Minimum 7 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 2 years in a BIM management role.

Solid understanding of architectural design processes, detailing, and documentation

Demonstrated experience managing BIM workflows in large-scale multidisciplinary projects.

Proven track record of delivering coordinated BIM models in compliance with ISO 19650 standards.

Familiar with clash detection and issue management tools like Navisworks, BIMcollab, or Solibri
-
Understanding of IFC standards, COBie requirements, and openBIM principles
-
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks; knowledge of BIM 360/ACC and related software.

Ability to lead meetings, manage stakeholders, and resolve interdisciplinary issues

Excellent Leadership, organizational and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Dynamo scripting, Rhino/Grasshopper, or other computational design tools.

Familiarity with sustainability modeling or data-driven design tools.

BIM certification (e.g., ISO19650, Autodesk Certified Professional, buildingSMART) is a plus.
