Architectural & Civil Draftsman

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architectural & Civil Draftsman with a strong background in the construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate architectural and civil drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation in compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Drafting

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, shop drawings, and working drawings.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and interior fit-out requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site modifications and completed works.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and local authority regulations.

Civil Drafting

• Prepare civil and structural drawings including site layouts, grading plans, foundations, retaining walls, roads, drainage, and utility layouts.
• Produce reinforcement detailing and concrete shop drawings as required.
• Assist engineers in preparing construction and tender drawings.
• Update drawings according to site conditions and engineering revisions.

Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Review and incorporate comments received from consultants and clients.
• Maintain proper document control and revision records.
• Support project teams during design development and construction phases.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to verify dimensions and existing conditions.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and issued within project deadlines.
• Follow company drafting standards and quality procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of project information and design documents.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as an Architectural & Civil Draftsman in the construction industry.
• GCC/Middle East experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and BIM software is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret engineering and architectural specifications.
• Knowledge of local building regulations and construction standards.
