Architectural Designer

Arcanum Architecture is a small, design-focused residential architecture firm located on Cincinnati’s East Side. Our wor kranges widely in scope and location across the greater Cincinnati area, with a strong focus on single-family homes. Led by principal architect Matt Evans, the firm brings over 35 years of experience to every project, blending deep local knowledge with a mentorship-driven studio culture. We’re seeking an entry-level Architectural Designer to join our collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in residential architecture, with guidance from a seasoned architect who values teaching and professional growth.

Duties

• Conduct site visits and field measurements; produce accurate as-built drawings

• Attend and support client meetings, taking notes and assisting with follow-up tasks

• Develop conceptual designs through 3D modeling and rendering

• Draft architectural drawings and assist in producing construction documents

• Apply foundational construction knowledge to help translate designs into buildable documents

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field (or nearing completion)

• Proficiency in 3D modeling (SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) and rendering software\

• Strong drafting skills; experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools

• Basic understanding of construction methods and residential building systems

• Good communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
