We specialize in large-scale residential renovations, transforming homes from elegant kitchen and bath remodels to expansive whole-house additions and complete rebuilds. We are looking for a smart, passionate, hardworking Architectural Designer who wants to take the lead in designing residential remodels and additions. Take ownership of the entire process from schematic design through permitting and construction administration. This person will support the company's design function while being immersed in an environment with other like-minded people.

Job Standards
1. Primary Objectives
· Create high-quality, insightful architectural designs for residential renovations in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.
· ability to provide design ideas and the necessary knowledge to implement large-scale renovations
· Draw and help design residential renovation projects consisting of as-builts, demo plans, and complete renovation drawings
· Create permit documentation and assist with the procurement of permits
· Work with clients to select finishes for their proposed renovation spaces
· Work with the team to write project scope and present contracts to clients
· Learn and absorb new information contributing to company growth and success
2. Regular Work Activities
· Existing condition field measurements and sketches
· Create drawings in Revit LT
· Material take-offs
· Create finish selection schedules and assist clients in making decisions
· Prepare the scope of work documentation for renovation projects
· Consult with clients on their project design and vision
· Communicate with field personnel regarding project design and material selections
· Incorporate construction notes into drawings to establish contract documents
· Obtain permits from various jurisdictions to start construction
· Collaborate with field staff throughout construction to resolve any issues or answer questions
· Miscellaneous administrative tasks, including answering telephones, receiving packages, and performing inventory
3. Management Responsibilities
· Assist Project Management Team in the oversight of residential remodeling projects from project implementation through completion of renovations
4. Key Skills
· Knowledge of residential construction codes and building practices
· Revit design software or similar (must be able to learn basic Revit functionality)
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Excellent communication skills and computer literacy
· Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented
· Knowledge and understanding of construction technical aspects

Job Requirements
Experience, Training, and Education
· Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field
· Revit or similar: 1 year (Preferred)
· 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
· Construction job site experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
