As an Architect/Architectural Designer, you will assist in the design and development of architectural projects, supporting the team from conceptual stages to detailed design. You will work closely with senior architects and designers to learn, grow, and contribute to architectural projects. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of architectural principles, construction methods, and building codes. The position involves working on a range of projects, with opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.

Primary job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support the development of architectural designs, from initial concepts through to construction documentation.
  • Assist in preparing design presentations, including sketches, basic 3D models, and presentation boards.
  • Work with design teams to refine concepts, incorporating client feedback and design revisions.
  • Produce architectural drawings, ensuring accuracy in plans, elevations, sections, and details, using AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-standard software.
  • Support the creation of technical specifications and documentation.
  • Coordinate with other design professionals (e.g., engineers, consultants) to integrate design and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Attend meetings with project teams and assist in client communications, supporting senior team members.
  • Conduct research to resolve design issues, sourcing materials, technologies, and solutions relevant to the project.
  • Learn and assist with code compliance and ensure designs meet relevant building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules and deliverables.
  • Take on growing responsibility as your technical knowledge and skills develop, working more independently on smaller projects.
  • Provide support to the senior team members as needed, with opportunities for mentoring and professional development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate initiative, with a growing ability to work independently under supervision.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Display attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Exhibit a desire to continue learning and developing within the field of architecture.
