We are looking for a talented, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Architectural Designer II, working on a variety of project types with a focus on commercial projects throughout New Jersey.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who is extremely organized, works well under deadlines, and is driven to help grow a creative design firm through a team-based, collaborative approach.
You will work closely with the Project Managers and Principals to take exciting design-driven projects from conception through completion.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Non-registered architectural school graduate involved in or completed the Architecture Experience Program (AXP) with 3-5 years of experience. This is a full-time position that aligns with the AIA Salary Compensation guide for an Architectural Staff Level I (non-licensed). In the first three months, you can expect to:
- Develop familiarity with the firm’s design and documentation standards, software, systems, and processes
- Meet with firm leaders to discuss your professional interests, skills, and goals
- Assist in design and documentation for projects on the boards

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiate and create designs for assigned projects. Competent in all conventional aspects of Architecture.
- Work independently on a variety of assignments requiring skills on projects of moderate size and complexity.
- Design and draft in Revit and AutoCAD Architecture.
- Accurately model buildings, create and manage families, and set up managed central models
- Guide and teach other Architectural Designers.
- Produce construction documents under the direction of the Project Architect or the Project Manager.
- Write code and zoning research reports
- Complete Site Planning/Zoning evaluations
- Visit job sites for verification and evaluation.
- Take measurements, document and photograph existing conditions.
- Review & process shop drawings and submittals.
- Research & select appropriate products for use on projects.
- Review and coordinate Consulting Engineers documents (drawings and specifications)
- Prepare reports and specifications. Compiles and analyzes relevant data.
- Review completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Architect or the Project Manager.

Supervise the duties of other designers and interns.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION GUIDELINES:
Bachelor of Architecture degree, with 3-5 years of work experience in the field of Architecture.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD Architecture version 2024 & REVIT, along with Microsoft Office products.
3D modeling and rendering (SketchUp, Photoshop) a plus.

Pay: $64,500.00 - $75,980.00 per year
