Architectural Designer

Foxlane Homes is seeking a full-time Architectural Designer to join our growing team! This is a fully in office position and is based out of our Fort Washington office. Working under the supervision of a senior team member, you will be responsible for the development and management of single-family residential projects across all divisions. This position would require travel to local job sites as well as regional offices as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation for architectural design efforts from conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.
• Develop and oversee detailed construction documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Conduct site visits, evaluate project progress, and provide technical guidance during construction phases.
• Collaborate with consultants, stakeholders, and regional project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building regulations.
• Oversee project schedules and deliverables while maintaining internal quality standards.
• Supervision of junior staff and review of work may be required.
• Creation of As-Built construction document sets as well as management of architectural plan library.

Competencies:

• Proficient in building codes and understanding how the code dictates how a building will be constructed.
• Ability to interpret and apply local zoning codes, building codes, and permitting processes.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Independent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to foster collaboration within a diverse team environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited architecture school, or equivalent education/work experience
• Experience in Residential Architecture required.
• Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
• Strong skills and experience in AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office are required; Adobe Design Suite and SketchUp experience preferred.
