ReVision Design + Build is an award-winning custom residential design-build firm based in Charlotte, NC. Our projects include additions, whole house renovations, outdoor living, kitchens and bathrooms. For more than 20 years, our clients have trusted us to guide them through every step of the design-build remodeling journey.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Lead architectural design on residential additions, bump-outs, and complex structural/roofline projects from concept through construction documents

– Design kitchen, bath, and interior-focused renovations with the same level of spatial and aesthetic care

– Collaborate with clients to develop design direction, present concepts clearly, and refine based on feedback

– Produce detailed, buildable drawings in Chief Architect

– Coordinate with project managers and the build team to ensure designs translate cleanly into construction

– Help develop and refine our internal design standards and documentation practices over time

– Bring architectural thinking to projects at every scale, because details matter

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Core qualifications

– 3–5 years of experience in residential architectural design or drafting (preferably with a custom builder, architectural firm, or design-build remodeler)

– Fluency with CAD-based design software

– General knowledge of residential construction techniques and concepts

– Comfort and confidence presenting your ideas to clients in regular face-to-face meetings

– Experience working at a design-build remodeling firm

– Currently pursuing architect licensing, or already licensed

– Familiarity with addition/structural design, roofline complexity, or site-specific residential constraints

– An eye for interior design details: millwork, material, proportion, etc.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

More than anything, we’re looking for someone who has both creative and technical instincts: someone who can sketch a massing concept and then follow it through to a fully coordinated drawing set. You care about how things look and how they go together. You ask questions like “why is this wall here?” and “what happens at this corner?” You can articulate a design decision in a client meeting and defend it in a field conversation with a framing crew.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. We’d love to grow with someone who is still becoming the architect they want to be and who wants to help build something real alongside us in the meantime.
