Design Engineer / Detailer

Immediate opening for a passionate, team-oriented, and reliable person to add to our growing team. The ideal candidate must operate with a high degree of competency, self-sufficiency, and with a willingness to learn. Our new team member should have 2 years of experience and industry related background.

Design Engineer / Detailer:

• A genuine interest in woodwork and metalwork
• Cabinet and furniture design knowledge
• Depth of knowledge in 3D modeling and CAD software, such as Solid Edge and Mozaik
• Programming/Operating CNC experience

Design Engineer / Detailer duties include, but not limited too:

• Modeling of millwork and metal work jobs completely.
• Taking 3D models and renderings and create client drawing.
• Clearly communicate with client through the drawing process.
• Updating drawing to reflect redlines and architectural comments.
• Developing approved client drawings into shop drawings.
• Breaking down shop drawings and creating DXF's for outsourced parts.
• Creating parts lists.
• Meeting with team to review projects.
• CNC programming and operation.

Cottingham is willing to train someone with limited experience in our industry if they have an intense desire to learn. We are looking for someone that genuinely enjoys the above tasks, or has the desire to develop them. We want someone that will take ownership of their work, is eager to learn, and will add value to the team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Experience:

• Solid Edge: 2 years (Preferred)
• 3D modeling: 2 years (Preferred)
