Architectural Drafter / Designer with Project Management Experience

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will support the design and documentation of projects from concept through construction, while also managing project timelines, coordination, and client communications. This is a hybrid role combining technical drafting, creative design, and organizational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD Architecture.
• Assist in design development.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients throughout project phases.
• Manage project schedules and deliverables.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration.
• Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, zoning regulations, and DOB filing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an architectural office.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and zoning.
• Experience with DOB filings and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and able to work with a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. I9 verified, NO REMOTE WORK.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with residential and mixed-use projects in NYC.
• Familiarity with NYC Department of Buildings and other city agencies.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
