Job Title: Architectural Joinery Draftsman

Experience Required: 3–5 Years (with site experience)
Location: DIP WAREHOUSE - DUBAI
Reporting to: Design Manager & Warehouse Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Joinery Draftsman with 3–5 years of hands-on site experience in joinery and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should be proficient in preparing accurate shop drawings for bespoke joinery items, with a strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and site coordination. The ability to prepare cutting lists is preferred, and proficiency in hand sketching will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings for custom joinery works including furniture, cabinetry, wall paneling, doors, and other woodwork elements.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and factory teams to ensure design intent and execution are aligned.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare drawings accordingly.
• Interpret architectural and interior design drawings to develop joinery details.
• Prepare cutting lists and material take-offs for production and procurement.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and timelines.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to clarify technical details.
• Perform quality checks on drawings before submission.
• Support site teams with quick sketches or clarifications as required (hand sketching skills preferred).
• Modify and revise drawings based on site conditions and client feedback.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and approvals.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in joinery drafting, with site exposure.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of other drafting software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, and finishes.
• Experience in preparing cutting lists is preferred.
• Ability to produce quick hand sketches for on-site communication is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
