Architectural Rendering Designer – Custom Home Builder

Overview

The Architectural Rendering Designer plays a key role in bringing custom home designs to life. Working within a residential design‑build environment, this position transforms architectural concepts into compelling visual experiences that help clients understand and feel confident in their home’s design before construction begins.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce photorealistic 3D renderings, animations, and visualizations for custom residential projects
• Translate architectural plans, sketches, and design meetings into accurate digital models
• Develop realistic materials, lighting, landscaping, and interior finishes that reflect actual selections
• Create visual assets for client presentations, design reviews, and marketing materials
• Support sales and design teams by generating visuals that communicate options, upgrades, and design variations
• Maintain organized project files, material libraries, and rendering workflows
• Stay current with residential design trends, rendering technologies, AI and visualization best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software such as SketchUp, V‑Ray, Lumion
• Strong understanding of residential architecture, construction details, and interior design principles
• Ability to interpret floor plans, elevations, and material schedules with precision
• Excellent eye for lighting, color, composition, and realistic material representation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to incorporate feedback from designers and clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Visualization, or related field
• Experience working with custom home builders, residential architects, or design‑build firms
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite for post‑production and presentation graphics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
