Who you are
You’re a hands-on forestry professional who’s comfortable in the field and confident managing day-to-day operations. You understand how to lay out harvest units, oversee contractors and crews, and keep work moving safely and efficiently. You communicate clearly, stay organized, and approach daily challenges with practicality and good judgment.
What the job is
In this role, you’ll support the operational side of our timberlands by planning and executing harvest layouts, selecting silviculture prescriptions, and overseeing both company and contracted crews. You’ll help ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and SFI expectations. This is a field-forward role that requires strong coordination, consistent follow-through, and the ability to make sound decisions in real time.

What you’ll do
What you bring
You have a degree in Forest Management, Natural Resource Management, or a related field, along with 3–7 years of operational forestry experience (or equivalent industry experience). You’re self-directed, organized, and able to manage shifting priorities. You communicate clearly, maintain strong working relationships with coworkers and regulatory partners, and can navigate fieldwork and administrative tasks with equal reliability. You’re proficient in Microsoft Office, understand Forest Practice Rules, and bring a practical, problem-solving mindset to your work. A valid driver’s license is required.
Compensation Details: Annual Salary Range: $60,800 - $91,200 per year. The pay range listed is just one component of Green Diamond’s total compensation package. Other rewards include eligibility to receive a company-wide annual financial performance bonus, and the opportunity to receive an individual performance-based bonus, candidate referral bonuses, and spot bonuses.
