Area Manager - Community Development (Female)

Area Manager – Community Development (Female) will be responsible for leading and strengthening Ruhamaa Foundation's field operations across all program locations. The position will provide strategic oversight, operational management, team supervision, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure effective implementation of all beneficiary support programs. The role will act as the primary link between management and field teams, ensuring program targets, compliance requirements, beneficiary satisfaction, and organizational standards are consistently achieved.

As Ruhamaa Foundation expands geographically and programmatically, this position will play a critical role in building scalable systems, improving field performance, and strengthening accountability across all operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Field Management

  • Lead and oversee all field operations across multiple project locations (Currently four operational).
  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly operational plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate and manage the field implementation of organizational programs and projects, ensuring alignment with approved plans, effective team supervision, and timely execution of field activities.
  • Ensure effective implementation of beneficiary support, education, empowerment, and community development initiatives.
  • Monitor program progress against targets, reporting and recommend corrective actions where required.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess program quality and operational effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Directly supervise field-based staff and supervisors.
  • Establish performance targets and KPIs for field teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Identify staffing requirements and support recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
  • Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and service excellence.

Beneficiary Management & Verification

  • Oversee beneficiary identification, assessment, verification, and approval processes.
  • Ensure transparent and accurate case management procedures.
  • Review and approve field recommendations before submission to management.
  • Monitor beneficiary records and ensure documentation compliance.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Monitor program outcomes, Analyze field data and recommend operational improvements.
  • Ensure data accuracy within organizational systems.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Maintain relationships with schools, community leaders, beneficiaries, donors, and partner organizations.
  • Represent Ruhamaa Foundation during field meetings and external engagements.
  • Facilitate resolution of field-level challenges and community concerns.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, SOPs, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements.
  • Conduct periodic audits of field activities and beneficiary records.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation measures through direct engagement with field activities can provide valuable insights for continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in field operations, through regular monitoring and auditing of Field Operations.

Strategic Growth & Expansion

  • At the community level, identify opportunities for collaboration, sponsorships, and strategic alliances.
  • Assess new geographical areas for expansion.
  • Develop operational plans and resource requirements for new projects.
  • Recommend improvements in organizational structure, field processes, and staffing models.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in NGO, social sector, or development programs.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing field teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience in beneficiary management, community engagement, education, livelihood, or welfare programs preferred.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs125,000.00 per month
