Pacific Tech Communications is looking for a strong Area Manager / Market Manager to lead and grow our telecom construction operations in the Austin–San Antonio market.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll be responsible for managing crews, working directly with clients, and making sure projects get delivered on time, on budget, and at a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple projects (aerial, underground, and fiber splicing)
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and in-house crews
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, inspectors, and municipalities
• Ensure projects meet production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Support estimating, planning, and execution of new work
• Build and scale operations in the local market (hire, train, expand crews)

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in telecom construction:
• Aerial (strand, lashing, pole work)
• Underground (trenching, HDD, microtrenching)
• Fiber splicing
• Proven experience working with AT&T and/or Lumen projects
• Ability to manage multiple crews and projects at the same time
• Solid understanding of production metrics, scheduling, and job costing
• Strong communication skills — you’ll be dealing with clients daily
• Leadership mindset — someone who can build and run a market, not just manage tasks
