About The Role:
The Area Process Manager – Recovery at the Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF) Riegelwood Mill will provide leadership to the Recovery team and Operation shift crews to achieve or exceed the targeted goals. Targeted goals include safety leadership, environmental compliance, reliability and operational excellence. A successful candidate empowers employees and leads the implementation of processes and systems designed to stabilize and improve the manufacturing process for the Recovery area. In this role you will:
- Actively engage operating teams to foster a resilient safety culture
- Understand environmental regulations and ensure compliance is met
- Ensure the department complies with requirements of the Power Technology Policy Manuals (Recovery Boiler, Power Boiler, Turbine Generator, and Balance of Plant – “Orange Book”)
- Provide oversight leadership to the MWS team for Recovery area
- Drive for continuous improvements in operating strategies to drive for improved efficiency and reduced energy cost
- Frequently interface with other operating departments to ensure operational stability across the mill
- Complete annual outage preparation, planning and execution. Complete and maintain all required documentation
- Establish training expectations and/or certification requirements for the Recovery area
About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- BS in Engineering, Management or related field is required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Power/Recovery operations or maintenance management experience. Supervisor experience preferred.
- Strong candidates will have thorough knowledge of power boiler and recovery boiler systems, concepts and applications, and is capable of being technical resource for utilities employees
