Job Description: Area Sales Manager
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth, managing sales operations, and overseeing the performance of sales teams within a designated geographical area. This role ensures the implementation of company strategies, builds strong customer relationships, and maximizes revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Manage, guide, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
- Conduct regular market visits, review sales performance, and ensure proper market coverage.
- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams for smooth business functioning.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and promotional activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, or related industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Good market knowledge and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
