Hubly Surgical | Area Sales Manager – Ohio & Michigan

Hubly Surgical is seeking a results-driven medical device sales professional to serve as Area Sales Manager for our Ohio & Michigan territory. We are actively looking for candidates based in the Cleveland, Ohio area .


Hubly Surgical is a growth-phase medical device company purpose-built to modernize cranial access surgery. Our single-use, disposable powered cranial drill system delivers the precision and reliability neurosurgeons demand — without the sterilization burden, maintenance overhead, and device failure risk associated with reusable instruments.


Position Overview  The Area Sales Manager will hold full commercial accountability across the assigned territory, with responsibility for protecting and growing existing hospital relationships and developing new business across neurosurgical programs in Ohio and Michigan. This is a direct field sales role with no distributor layer between the representative and the outcome.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through VAC approval, product trial, and purchase order
  • Develop and maintain relationships with neurosurgical program directors, attending surgeons, Neuro ICU staff, APPs, residents, and hospital supply chain leadership
  • Provide in-room clinical support and product education during neurosurgical cases
  • Build and execute a quarterly territory business plan with defined account targets and pipeline milestones
  • Represent Hubly Surgical at national and regional neurosurgical conferences and society meetings


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of medical device sales experience with a direct call point in neurosurgery or neurocritical care
  • Documented track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a field sales role
  • Established relationships with neurosurgical programs or department leadership in the target region
  • Proficiency navigating complex hospital sales cycles including VAC presentations, GPO contracting, and value-based selling to administrative decision-makers
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight within the assigned territory
