Role Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be accountable for driving strategic sales, deepening market penetration, expanding revenue, and strengthening the distribution and institutional footprint of Imago And Getter’s hygienic and disinfectant solutions in the assigned territory (Visakhapatnam and surrounding regions). This role will blend new business development, key account management, market intelligence, and cross-functional coordination to achieve ambitious business targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market & Revenue Growth
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across pharmaceutical companies, healthcare institutions, HoReCa chains, and animal husbandry segments.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans, forecasts, and territory growth initiatives that align with national objectives.
- Expand distribution networks and strengthen relationships with institutional and channel partners to drive market share for surface disinfectants and related hygiene products.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets with disciplined pipeline management and sales execution.
2. Strategic Partnerships & Account Development
- Develop and maintain enduring relationships with key decision-makers in hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmaceutical distributors, and large institutional buyers.
- Lead negotiations and close high-value contracts that boost revenue and market presence.
- Engage with stakeholders including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), institutional management, government procurement authorities, and industry influencers to build credibility and strategic alliances.
3. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, pricing movements, regulatory shifts, and product demand dynamics in the hygiene/disinfectant space.
- Prepare and deliver detailed territory reviews, sales forecasts, pipeline insights, and action plans to senior leadership.
- Ensure consistent CRM discipline, accurate reporting, and compliance across territory activities.
4. Team Collaboration & Capability Building
- Work cross-functionally with internal sales, marketing, operations, and product teams to align go-to-market efforts and improve customer engagement.
- Provide market feedback on product positioning, training needs, and competitive intelligence to support market readiness.
- Mentor or guide field sales personnel or channel partners where required to elevate overall performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3–7+ years of progressive sales experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, institutional sales, or related field, with preference for experience managing field teams or supervisory roles.
- Demonstrable record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and effectively managing distributor networks and key accounts.
Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership presence with the ability to influence stakeholders and build trust.
- Proficient in CRM tools and sales reporting.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
