Purpose of the position

The Area Sales Manager for Roofing Sheets will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and overseeing project execution within the roofing sheet segment. This role requires a deep understanding of roofing materials, market trends, and customer needs, along with strong project management and sales skills.

Key Responsibilities of the position:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets in the assigned region.
  • Identify and develop new dealers, distributors, contractors, and project customers in specified markets.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring excellent customer service and repeat business.
  • Build strong relationships with fabricators, organize fabrication meets, and introduce special schemes tailored for them.
  • Guide, motivate, and monitor the sales team (if applicable) to achieve performance goals.
  • Generate quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize deals in coordination with management.
  • Work closely with internal teams (logistics, production, accounts) to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
  • Represent the company in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events in the assigned territory.

Market Understanding

  • Implement local marketing and promotional activities.
  • Track competitor products, pricing, and trends with regular market visit in the assigned region.
  • Maintain regular reporting of sales pipeline and market feedback.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 –10 years of experience in sales, preferably in building materials, roofing sheets, aluminium products, or construction-related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of dealer/distributor network management.
  • Strong communication skills in English and the local language (Gujarati/Marathi/Punjabi/Odia/Bengali as per location).
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
