Job Summary
The Area Sales Supervisor – is responsible for overseeing and driving sales performance within assigned modern trade accounts. This role ensures effective execution of sales plans, strong in-store presence, excellent customer relationships, and achievement of sales targets. The supervisor leads a team of merchandisers or sales representatives and works closely with key accounts to maximize market share and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Target Achievement

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales volume, value, and distribution targets for assigned modern trade channels.

Monitor sell-in and sell-out performance and implement corrective actions when needed.

Identify new business opportunities to grow revenue within the region.
Account Management

Maintain strong relationships with store managers, category buyers, and modern trade partners.

Negotiate shelf space, displays, and promotional visibility to maximize brand exposure.

Ensure timely execution of trade agreements, promotions, and activations.
In-Store Execution

Ensure planogram implementation, pricing accuracy, and availability of products across all outlets.

Conduct regular market visits to audit store performance and competitor activity.

Improve on-shelf visibility through displays, and merchandising standards.
Team Leadership

Supervise, train, and motivate a team of merchandisers or sales promoters.

Create work schedules, route plans, and performance trackers.

Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance evaluations.
Reporting & Analysis

Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, including insights on performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Analyze sales data to identify trends and develop action plans.

Monitor inventory levels, returns, and stock movements to avoid out-of-stock or overstock situations.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.

2–4 years of sales experience in FMCG or retail; experience in modern trade is a strong advantage.

Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Strong analytical ability and proficiency in MS Excel/PowerPoint.

Ability to lead and motivate field teams.
-
Willingness to travel within the assigned area.

Preferably Arabic speaking
