Armed Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure authorized entry
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by applying conflict management techniques and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Conduct patrols of the facility, including perimeter checks and interior inspections, to identify potential hazards or security vulnerabilities
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance in emergency situations until professional help arrives
• Enforce loss prevention policies by deterring theft, vandalism, or unauthorized activities within the premises
• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately and promptly

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles demonstrating strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and experience with loss prevention strategies
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable; additional training in conflict management is a plus
• Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while effectively managing conflicts or emergencies
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and external emergency responders
