Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas regularly to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while verifying identification and credentials.
• Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security threats or suspicious behavior.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring CPR or first aid.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions effectively.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and access records to ensure accurate documentation of security operations.

Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention strategies.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and effectively.
• Familiarity with security procedures, including access control protocols and emergency response plans.
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• Level 2 or level 3 security license (Preferred)
