Armed Security Officer

Duties

• Patrol designated areas regularly to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors through verification procedures
• Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security threats
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring CPR or first aid
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism, de-escalating disputes and maintaining order
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents as needed
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields
• Valid certification in CPR and first aid; additional certifications in surveillance or CCTV operation are a plus
• Strong knowledge of conflict management techniques and loss prevention strategies
• Ability to operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems confidently
• Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and inspections
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods; ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure
